On a happier note...

We are enjoying fall here. It has been fun to see all of the leaves change and fall. When we walk to school, we have been checking them out in the neighborhood. I have been doing preschool with the boys 2 days a week. Last week, we collected leaves on the way home from school, and then did leaf rubbings for pre-school. The boys had fun. The neighbors raked their leaves, and the kids got to jump in them. We are lucky- we get to enjoy the leaves, but we have no big trees with leaves to rake in our yard.

Anyone want to come visit?

We are running an infirmary. This is what our house has looked like today. We are not having fun. Camille and McCray got sick in the night, and have been sick all day today. Kent, Morgan and I are still hanging in here. I took Camille to the instacare tonight because she had been complaining of an earache all day. When stuff started running out of her ear, I decided we couldn't ignore it anymore. The Dr said that her eardrum burst because of an infection. So we got her taken care of for that, but I think she has the virus thing too. When Kent came home today from work, I went to the library. I had to get out of here. It is nice to stay home when you want to, but when you are stuck at home, it can drive you a little nuts.

Hello, this is Maria Miles.....

I just got home from my temporary little job. I am making customer satisfaction survey calls for Educators Mutual Health Insurance company. I am the person I hate who calls and bothers me at dinner time. Now I am the culprit! I am amazed at how many people are nice and actually do it. I have been pleasantly surprised. I guess when it is a company that you have something to do with, it is more motivating to give your comments. I have been working 2-3 hours M-Th so it hasn't
been too bad. Kent has been doing a good job holding down the fort.

We have a sick house this week. It started out as a cold which some of us had, and now Reed has been VERY sick for a couple of days. I took him to the Dr. yesterday, and she said it is a bad virus that is going around. She said it last about 5 days. I SOOO hope that we don't all have to get it. He's been miserable. Today was such a beautiful day. I was wishing that Reed was better so that we could walk to school. I Love getting out and walking. We all miss it if we don't get out.

Kent is liking his job. He enjoys the whole investment subject, and when he gets the whole system figured out, he will be loving it. Too bad we don't have tons of money for him to practice with!

That is the excitement for the day!

Some Pictures

McCray had alien pancakes for his birthday dinner.
Camille on her first day of first grade. She was excited, and Mom was sad to have her gone all day.
Our little "ReedyPie." He tells me I'm not Reedy Pie, i'm "Weed."
Morgans favorite place is in her stroller. She always goes to get her coat and wants to go. We walk Camille to school each day, and it is a highlight for her.

This One's for you Mom!

Drum roll, please. Welcome to the Miles family blog. We have been contemplating this for awhile and today is the day. Mom has also suggested that we should do this. (STRONGLY) Who can blame Grandparents, I guess. I have to admit that I have been loving everyone else's blogs and I think that it is such a fun way to keep up on people's day to day lives. Hopefully we can find something fun and entertaining to tell you all.

Everything is going well for us. We are enjoying Salt Lake. We have a great neighborhood that we live in, the kids have made some nice friends, and Kent is enjoying his job. He has been in training for the past 6 weeks, but starts the "real work" tomorrow. It is fun because he really enjoys what he is learning, which makes going to work much easier. I have started a part time temporary job at night. I am working for a health insurance company doing customer satisfaction survey calls. It is not too bad. I only have to do it for a couple of hours and people have been pretty nice so far. I have only had one person be rude so far. And she wasn't even really rude. I have applied for a more permanent part time job, and am hoping to hear about that soon. Kent gets home fairly early so he is able to take over at night when I leave. We are really enjoying living by my sister Erin and her husband Kelly. I love having family nearby. My brothers Jay and Taylor and their wives are in Logan, so they aren't too far either. Fun! We miss Kent's family being so close, but thankfully Cedar City isn't too far away.

Ok, that's it for now. I will be watching for entertaining things to add to our blog. Thanks to all of you for doing yours. I really enjoy it!
