Piano Lessons

Introducing..... Maria Miles' Piano Students

Student #1- This young lady's name is Camille. She likes to play duets with her teacher, and she is great at practicing. I am not trying to get too attached to having her as my student. She will be better than her teacher before too long at this rate!-

Student #2- Morgan is my next student. She is one of the hardest to keep on task. She wiggles and squirms all over, and we can never seem to get the lessons started, much less finished.

McCray is student #3. With some kids, its always a "battle". Literally. He comes into lessons, and sets up the guys. Dark vs. Light. Every time, it's a different story. The outcome is usually the same- light wins.

Poor student #4 is Reed. He never gets a chance to show me what he has got. He has a hard time squeezing in his turn at the piano. We have to play his lessons, "by ear."

That is really funny. I have been thinking a lot lately about when or how soon Allie could start piano. I don't know how well she would sit for it now. Time will tell I guess.

Has Camille learned "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" yet? That's really a classic.

That's funny Linds. I just played "my part" of that for her the other night. I told her that you and I played that many many times. I still have it memorized. Do you? :) We'll have to play it sometime for old times sake! :)

How brave of you for being their teacher! I am very impressed! I love how each picture shows your kids' different personalities. At this rate, you will be the professional pre-school/piano teacher. I will have to send Carson your way for lessons.

K. I had no idea you played? At least I don't remember you saying you did? Cute pics of the kids!

I, too, thought this was hilarious. I'm glad you're able to give Camille lessons and that she loves it. Did you get the books from Grandma Miles? She was trying to keep them for you at Christmas time.
