Happy Birthday Dear Morgie...

Morgan turned 2 on September 24th. It is hard to believe that she could be two. Except for the fact that she thinks she is as grown up as the other kids. Her birthday was on a Wednesday, and we didn't have a real party, because Kent had meetings, and I was not ready for a party. So we got pizza, and let her eat on the birthday plate to celebrate. I got her that hat earlier in the day at Walmart. We had been past it on several trips, and she was always wanting to hold it. They had marked it down to $1.00, so I figured I would get it for her. It was the least I could do for the birthday girl. She loves that hat and has worn it around quite a bit.

We had he real party on Sunday night for family home evening. Do any of you remember Camille's 2nd birthday party? I bet this looks a little familiar if you were there. ( Hers was a lady bug party too.) The poor ladybug spots were a little drippy, but Morgan didn't care. I made antennae for the kids, and they had fun wearing them.

For her birthday, Morgan got a new baby doll and a little nursery set thing. It has a carrying seat, crib, changing table option, and stroller. It was a hit. She LOVED it, and was pretty excited. I think one of the favorite things was a baby bottle that she could feed to her doll. The other kids have enjoyed it as well. I gave away all of Camille's girly stuff because I didn't know if we would have another girl, and I didn't want to keep hauling it around. I wish I wouldn't have. Oh well.

That night when we put Morgan to bed, she would not get into her crib. She wanted to sleep by her baby. So I put her crib mattress on the floor by the baby bed. She was having a little too much fun playing with her baby, and wouldn't lay down and go to sleep. It didn't last long, and she was back on her crib.

I love our little Morgie so much. She is such a joy. She is adorable, and also has a spunky side to her. She is very sweet, and loves her Mommy. She is also a Daddy's girl, more so than any of the other kids have been at that age. I think it is because she is at home with Daddy every night, and he takes care of her. She knows how to work her borhters and sister. She screams, and they give her what she wants to make her be quiet. Not good. We are working on that. I got a kick out of her the other day. When she gets hurt, I hold her and sing I am a Child of God to her, and she will calm down. The last few days, if she drops her baby, she sings I am a Child of God to it. It is so cute. What a blessing she is to our family. She is such a youngest child. I often wonder how we could have another child after her? How would they survive? She likes being the youngest. I am sure that she would live, but she probably won't have to worry about it. :)

Happy Birthday Morgie!

Krista and I were impressed with the lady bug cake Maria. The kids looked cute with their lady bug antennae. Those pictures will be fun to look at in the future.

It's hard to believe Miss Morgie is two. It was such a fun time when she was born.
