Happy Birthday Grandpa Payne

Happy Birthday Grandpa! We all love you and hope you have a really great day.

Grandpa and the kids at Red Robin when he visited in August.

I think Grandpa looks like he is being mauled. In a good way!???!

Morgan's 4th Birthday

Miss Morgan turned 4 on Friday. What a big girl she is getting to be. We celebrated on Friday and had a great day. The big kids were out of school, so we did some fun things. We took everyone to Red Robin (with library coupons) for a birthday dinner. She thought that was pretty fun.

We celebrated tonight with cake and presents. She wanted a princess cake. That seemed easy enough, I thought. So I bought a barbie, and thought we were good to go. Well, I didn't quite make the cake tall enough for her legs to stand up straight in the cake. This Barbie didn't have knees that bend. So, as usual, I had to improvise.

I find myself doing that a lot. I have good ideas, great intentions, but things usually don't work out just right. My middle name should be "wing it".

Morgan got a nightlight, lip gloss, and a shopping cart with food in it. She thought that was pretty neat. She also got some money to go to the store with. She should have fun with that!

We sure love our Morgan. I called her my baby girl the other day. She told me that she is not a baby, she is a "kid". I guess a kid is better than a young lady. They grow up so fast!

Temple Square

We had a great time on Labor Day weekend with the Miles family. They had come for the baptism, but we were able to do some fun things while they were here.

We went to the Great Salt Lake. It was...salty. And stinky. But fin, and good to say that we have seen it. We went inside the Saltair building. That was something to say that you have seen before, but not necessarily see again. :)

On Sunday night we went to Temple Square and walked around. We also went in some of the Visitors Centers.

Reed wanted a picture by the fountain.

The silly cousin picture.

Morgan and Emery

As we were walking around, we remembered that it was our 12th anniversary. It is sad when you forget that it is a big day! We did celebrate later though.

McCrays Baptism

McCray was blessed to be able to be baptized by his Dad on Sept 4th, 2010. What a special day!

Grandma Miles spoke on baptism, and Grandpa Payne sent a talk for Mom to read on the Holy Ghost. It was special to have grandparents give talks at your baptism.

McCray had a wonderful group of family and friends there to support him. I am sad that this picture came out blurry.

We had a great weekend spending time with family and friends after the baptism. We are blessed to have such wonderful family and friends.

First Day Of School

Here we go again! Another school year about to start. The kids were excited. Morgan thinks she is going too. Not yet, thank goodness.

That Can't Be Comfortable

I just had to take a picture of the way McCray sleeps. Every single night McCray sleeps with his neck up on the the railing of his bunk bed. It is amazing that he doesn't wake up with a neck ache. It makes my neck ache just watching it!

Discovery Gateway

Our Friend Grand Jan (Jossue's Grandma) invited us to all go to the Gateway museum, and then to the splash pad out at the mall to have a picnic and play in the fountains. The kids love the museum, and always have a great time. This was the first time the older kids had been able to go. You can tell who had the most fun at the fountains...

The museum is a little pricey, but SO MUCH FUN! I am glad that Gran Jan takes us along.
