Santa Visit

We always enjoy our visits with Santa at our ward Christmas party. Morgan was very concerned because she forgot to tell Santa what she wanted. I assured her that Mom and Dad buy most everything anyway. why should Santa get all of the credit?

Ferris Wheel

We took a ride on the ferris wheel at Scheels. It took forever to grt through the line, but the kids had fun once we got up there. Lindsay, the shot of the ferris wheel with my feet in it is where I was when you called. :-)

Miles Family Day Off

BYU Game

BYU had cheap ticket night. We  decided to have a little family outing and went down to Provo. This was the kids first time being at a real BYU game, and they had a good time. As you can tell, we were only 3 rows down from the top. They were still decent seats, and the price was right.

Annual Halloween Party

We have had a "spooky food" Halloween dinner for years. I just love it. Last night was the big night and we had a great time. We had about 14 adults and a bunch of kids come, and it was a ball. Or kids asked if any kids their age were coming. No, poor things! It was a party of moms friends! They all are young and have little kids Oscar and Sophies age. The kids were just fine and we had a great night. Even Kent and I dressed up- that is a miracle!!!

Miles Family Reunion 2012

We had the Miles reunion at the cabin this year over labor day weekend. We All had a wonderful time. Anytime you get to be with cousins, it's a good time. We had a cousin carnival that the kids loved. We'll have to remember the idea for the next Payne reunion. Grandma and grandpa bought a 4-Wheeler, and we all had fun getting rides on it. That was my first time ever riding one. It's was great. I need to get out more.

On Vacation

We are off for the Miles family reunion. We are going to the cabin on Cedar Mountain. Hope you have a great weekend wherever you are!

Hollywood Connection

we went to hollywood connections for the crazy birthday. It was fun to go as a family. The kids had gone to lagoon a couple of weeks ago, so hollywood connection was a little anti climactic. We still had a great time.

Temple Square Trip

Dan and Jen left to go back to alaska yesterday. before they left we all went down to temple square together. the older kids went to see the joseph smith movie in the joseph smith memorial building. jen and I took the little ones and walked over to city creek center. while we were at the joseph smith memorial building they lowered a huge chandelier. they must have been changing light bulbs. when they were finished they lifted it back up into the ceiling. it was a cool process to watch.

Mesa Verde National Monument

We went to Mesa Verde national monument while we were at our family reunion. We enjoyed seeing the cliff dwellings and also just doing something fun together as a family.

Christmas 2012

We spent this Christmas with our own little family.  We had a great time being together and celebrating Christ's birth.  Here is our traditional nativity picture.  It is hard to do the nativity without cousins to be some of the other characters. We did manage to get Mary, Joseph, 2 shepherds, and a wise man. (sorry about all of the blurry pictures. I used to blame the camera.  I am starting to wonder if it is the photographer.)

 

Santa found our house, so I guess that means there were some good little kids.

The kids were beyond thrilled when we got a Wii.  They have loved it.  Mom and Dad use it for bribery.

We had church at 11, so we were able to get up, open presents, have a nice breakfast, and make it  church on time.  A Christmas miracle!!! :)  It was a wonderful day.

Feeling The Love

 How lucky I am to have my four little "big" babies.  It won't be too long until it is totally impossible

to have them all snuggle me at one time.

As it is, it only lasted for about 5 minutes.  Then I had to get down to business and take my REAL nap.  I sure love these kids! 

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas! I hope you all had as nice a day as we did. This picture was taken at our ward Christmas party. I need to post more. We'll see- maybe I can make a resolution to be better in the new year??? No guarantees, but I sure enjoy seeing all of your blogs!

Niagara Falls

One of the many highlights of our trip to Buffalo was visiting Niagara Falls. It was pretty amazing, and I am glad that I can say that I have been there.

I enjoyed all of the mist, and thought is was refreshing, and so beautiful.

We hiked up close to one of the falls and snapped a picture with Taylor and Krista.


It is not like our family to do something like the Maid of the Mist Tour. But I am so glad that we did. We all had a great time, and can check it off of our to do lists.
