Mets

Reed played in the 8 and 9 year old league.  He started at 6 and turned 7 in the middle of the season.  I couldn't manage to baseball schedules, so we had Reed play up a league.  He did well, and learned a lot.  Sure is cute in his uniform!

McCray And Mom

Not the best picture, but I sure do love this boy.

Christmas 2012

We spent this Christmas with our own little family.  We had a great time being together and celebrating Christ's birth.  Here is our traditional nativity picture.  It is hard to do the nativity without cousins to be some of the other characters. We did manage to get Mary, Joseph, 2 shepherds, and a wise man. (sorry about all of the blurry pictures. I used to blame the camera.  I am starting to wonder if it is the photographer.)

Santa found our house, so I guess that means there were some good little kids.

The kids were beyond thrilled when we got a Wii.  They have loved it.  Mom and Dad use it for bribery.

We had church at 11, so we were able to get up, open presents, have a nice breakfast, and make it  church on time.  A Christmas miracle!!! :)  It was a wonderful day.

Fishing

Another busy bag that I made is a magnetic fishing game.  The boys had fun catching their fish.

I figured that a laundry basket is almost as good as a boat, right?

The Fort

Morgan and Oscar wanted to make a fort.  So we got the stuff out and did it.

Sophie had a ball in there with the kids.  Morgan thinks that Sophie is hers.  She thinks that she can do everything that I do, and that she is a little mom.  She changes her diapers, feeds her, You name it.  She does a great job too.  I guess all of that practice with her dolls is paying off.

Oscar taking a break from all of the fun.

It is so fun to hear happy kids playing.  Putting the mess away after its over is a different story.

Trying To Keep Them Busy

The kids really like to be "doing" something.  Especially Morgan.  She needs school soo bad, because I can't keep up with her!  Last fall I made some busy bags.  The idea is that you have lots of different activities/games etc. in a bad with everything you need, all ready to go.  She when you need something for them to do, it is ready to go.

These are just bottles that you fill up with beads, pebbles, etc.  Not too complicated, but they enjoy it.

We also have done play dough.

Oscar and Myles like to be "super" and wear their capes while they play.  They really get along well, which makes it fun for Oscar while Morgan is gone to preschool.  Oscar is starting to get a little social life with all of his different friends.

Sophie hangs out and keeps everyone in line.  She is sure a happy girl.  When she is getting what she wants...
