Oscar was so happy today because they played outside in the snow. We have had so much lately! Erin bought them snow pants and he thought that was pretty cool. He and Spencer had a ball shoveling, climbing snow mountains, and riding their bikes in the snow. As for Sophie, she wasn't as impressed. She kept saying, "I'm freezing!" and wanted me to hold her. It was pretty cold. I was freezing too!
Morgan finally got her turn playing basketball, after waiting all of these years. She did pretty well, except for crying multiple times. In fact, she hurt her finger one time and went up to her coach (my friend Roseanne) and stuck her finger up in her face so she could kiss it better. We had to have a chat about being tough. :-)
We always enjoy our visits with Santa at our ward Christmas party. Morgan was very concerned because she forgot to tell Santa what she wanted. I assured her that Mom and Dad buy most everything anyway. why should Santa get all of the credit?
We sent the kids to bed tonight at about 9:30. They all had to turn their lights off and close their doors. At about 11:30, Kent and I heard some faint knocking. Kent went down the hall and found this note coming out from under the boys door. Kent opened the door and Reed was panicked. He said he needed to go for hours! Poor kid, he was scared to interrupt Santa. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
We have had a really nice Christmas Eve. Erin, Kelly, and kids came over for dinner. We did it Payne/Hsu style and decided to have Chinese food. It was really good, thanks to Costco and Trader Joe's. Not quite Golden Dragon, but it was still yummy. :-) We did the nativity as well, and the kids got into it. What a fun night!!
We took a ride on the ferris wheel at Scheels. It took forever to grt through the line, but the kids had fun once we got up there. Lindsay, the shot of the ferris wheel with my feet in it is where I was when you called. :-)
