Camille's Baptism

Camille was baptized on Saturday, October 11th. It was a very special day. We have stake baptisms, so she was baptized with 4 other kids, including her best friend Susanna. Not everyone gets to be baptized with their best friend. That was pretty special.

The got new baptism outfits for the little girls and I was pretty impressed. They were cute, and fitted. Not huge like they sometimes are. I got to give a talk on the Holy Ghost. Kent had to do the baptism twice because the first time, he had a hard time getting her all of the way under. I didn't tie her hair up because it is short. But it floated on top of the water. Kent kept pushing her further under and I think she started getting a little worried, and kicked her foot up and out of the water. So they had to do it again, and the second time there were no problems at all. I was surprised at her reaction after she was baptized. She was very teary and emotional. I thought maybe she was embarrassed because she had to be baptized twice. But when I asked her, she said that she was teary because she was so happy. She did the same thing after she was confirmed. I guess I get a little emotional too sometimes. Poor girl, takes after her Mother in that way.

My amazing friend Marjorie made this little baptism dress for Camille. It looked so cute on her. I am so grateful to have a friend who would do something so special like that for Camille.
Aunt Erin, Uncle Taylor and Aunt Krista were able to come and we are so glad that they could be there with us for Camille's special day. We are so proud of Camille for the choice that she made to be baptized. She is such a special little girl. She truly desires to do what is right. She is a great example to all of us, and many times teaches us things that we should be teaching her first. We love her so much, and are grateful to be her parents.

Amazing is a little too strong I think. It looks so cute on a beautiful girl. I love that she felt the spirit after her baptism and confermation and recognized it!
