Monday has become our family day, because that is when Kent has his day off. We had a nice day today. We went to Kelly and Erin's house this morning to weed the garden. It was HOT, and the kids complained a lot. They have no clue about working in the heat- right Lindsay, Jay and Taylor? We should send them out to Florida to work outside for a day, and they will know what hot is! :) They tried though. I actually kind of enjoy weeding. As long as the weeds will come out easily. It is always a satisfying feeling when it is done and looks good. When we got home, we were all sweaty and hot, so we ALL ran through the sprinklers. The kids were dying for Kent and I to do it too. We were game, and it felt soooo nice. It was really fun. Of course Kent and I didn't last as long as the kids did, but it sure felt good.
The kids had a ball getting wet. Reed disappeared for a minute, and came out with his goggles that he got for his birthday. Everyone needs goggles when they run through the sprinklers, right? He has been DYING to have a chance to use them.
They all ran through for quite a while, and when they were done, they all laid down on the driveway to dry off.

Thanks for weeding! Sprinklers sound pretty good with this heat we've been having. You reminded me of something...do you remember how Mom wouldn't let us run through the sprinklers unless it was at least 80 degrees? We used to call time & temperature to check to see if it was hot enough.
