We had such a great visit with Carter and Uli this year. I didn't know if they were going to make it this year because of the wedding, but they did not disappoint. It has been a tradition for many years now, and we really appreciate the effort they make to come visit each year. The kids LOVE having Uli come.
One day we took the kids to the Discovery Gateway museum and let them play. They had lots of fun, but I think that playing with the Life Flight helicopter was their favorite.
They all had to have a turn being the pilot, which meant they all had to take their turns being the riders too. I am so glad that they have so much fun together and get along.
What would an Uli visit be, without his traditional birthday celebration. It has changed as the years have gone by from me making the cakes, to Cater getting in on the fun, and this year Uli made the whole cake, and decorated it as well. He did a great job. Pretty soon Carter and I are going to be able to sit back and let these kids take care of us!
We sure love Uli, and appreciate what a great kid he is. Thanks for being such a good example for all of your younger cousins Uli. It isn't easy being the oldest grandchild and having all of your cousins look up to you, but you do a great job showing all of them the ropes!
