Week With No Kids

Kent's Parents are doing a "Cousins Camp" this week. They have 11 of the grand kids at their cabin and have all sorts of fun things planned. The kids are having a ball so far. It was sad to leave them at the cabin. I even got teary for a few minutes, but then I was ok. I have been really excited to have a week to get some things accomplished. I think that I am going to make a list of things that I have been able to accomplish this week.
Monday-
  • Traveled home ( more about that later) , and worked until 11pm.
Tuesday-
  • Got up early and Kent and I worked out at the gym
  • Came home and had the goal to DEEP clean our room. We started, and about 10 minutes into it, I got SICK. It just came from out of nowhere. I was SO MAD! This was my time, and I didn't want to waste it. Kent was great and cleaned our room and bathroom, while I rested on the bed. Thankfully I was feeling a little better by about 1pm, and just took it easy the rest of the day.
  • Did the captions for the kids picture books, and printed them all off. This has been an ongoing project since Christmas 2007. Still need to finish the rest. I have to cut out the captions, and mount them on another paper.
  • Made a photo order from Snapfish before my account expired.
  • Did 4 loads of laundry
  • Cleaned up the kitchen and picked up house.
  • BED!
Wednesday-
  • Kent has had two long sleeved work shirts that we had holes in the elbows. He was wanted me to fix them for a long time, and I have tried to find every possible excuse to get out of it. Well, the time had come, and I did it this morning. I was actually thinking it was a great job this morning because while I did that, Kent deep cleaned the other 2 bathrooms.
  • Went to a going away party at work for a friend of mine.
  • Went to DI and bought a juicer/canner type on thing for $5.00. I was excited. Little by little I am getting more equipped to be a canner.
  • Bought a salsa maker little chopper machine. I have wanted one for a long time, but didn't want to pay $10. I got this one for $3.00 at DI.
  • Bought a super cute skirt for $4.00 at DI.
  • Went to Thriftown, another thrift shop that I like to go to. Bought a pair of jeans and a little bag of Legos.
  • Went to a store called Home Again. It is a consignment shop with furniture and accessories. I have heard about it for a long time, but have never dared go with the kids. Good thing. It was very fun and they had a lot of inspiring ideas that I could do with re- purposing some of the furniture that we have.
  • Came home.
  • Made 3 hooded towels for baby gifts.
  • Made another nursing cover out of the same cute fabric for a baby gift.
  • Finished making 3 Birthday banners.
