My parents were just here for about 10 days. We really enjoyed being able to spend some time with them. In fact, the day that they arrived, the kids were still down in Cedar City, and Kent was at work. I was with my parents all by myself! That has not happened for years. I really enjoyed it. Is that selfish? :)
We were able to do some fun things while they were here. One night they got to go to the kids baseball games, and the kids loved to have them there. We had some Bar b ques with Erin and Kelly, and also went to their house one night for banana splits. So yummy and fun to visit! Mom, Erin, and I had a girls day. We must be getting old, because we went to the fabric store, had lunch, and went home. We couldn't really think of anything else that we were dying to do. And we were all tired. :) It was nice though.
On Friday morning, we went to the Oquirrh Mountain temple open house. We chose a good time, because there were not too many people there, it wasn't hot yet, and we didn't have to wait in any long lines. It was a beautiful temple. I love that our kids have had 2 chances to see a temple open house. It is a wonderful opportunity for them to get to see the different places in the temple, and it gives us the chance to explain to them more about it. It was special to have Grandma and Grandpa Payne there too. On our way out of the tour, we saw the Halgren's, Lindsay's in-laws. They had been on a tour before us, and it was fun to run into them.
The kids really enjoyed spending time with Grandma and Grandpa. The boys shared bunk beds with Grandpa (the boys shared the top, and grandpa was on the bottom), and he would tell them a story sometimes at night. Camille commented that she wished that she could have heard the story. He has some great stories to tell about when he was a kid, and they LOVE to hear them. They loved getting and giving hugs and snuggles too. It was a treat to have them come.

I like the pictures from the temple. Wish we could have been there! Next time, eh?
I loved the Temple. Isn't it beautiful? That is great that your parents could visit.
Thanks for the post Maria. Just talked to Ilene (Friday PM) and she said she has had fun seeing you guys. I wish I could have been there too!
