Cedar Mountain

We went to Cedar City for General Conference weekend. It was really nice to get away and to be with Kent's family. We miss not seeing them as often as we used to. We left for Cedar, and got there late Friday night/early Saturday morning. We stayed in Cedar that day and had an enjoyable day listening to conference. I brought some cards to stamp and projects to work on while I listened. I didn't hear as much of conference as I had hoped. It is hard to try and listen to the talks when everyone is there and there is so much to visit about! Everyone was so nice to help me with my projects and lend me their great ideas. We made our standard trip to Robert's Craft after the priesthood session. We all love to go and see what we can't live without at the craft store. They were having ladies night, so they were having give-aways. I actually won. I never win. It was only a few scrapbook supplies, but it was still nice. After we got home, Kent and I put the kids to bed, and then went out on a date to Chili's for my birthday. It was fun to be together. We haven't seen much of each other lately because of our crazy work schedules.
Sunday morning we went to Cedar Mountain to check out Kent's parents new cabin. They just purchased a cabin on the back side of Cedar mountain, close to highway 89. We were all very excited for Roland and Pam, and to get to see the new cabin. As we started to go up the mountain, guess what we found... SNOW! Oh, I am so not ready for that! It was actually really beautiful because the fall leaves were turning, which was really pretty, and then there was snow. I tried to take a couple of pictures out the window. They are not the best, but they give you an idea.

This is the new cabin. It is really nice, and it is on a beautiful piece of land with a great view. I am sure there will be a lot of fun times to come here. It sits on about 10 acres, so the kids can all run. It was such a beautiful day. It is on the back side of the mountain, which is lower in elevation, so there was no snow, and it was nice weather.

All of the cousins had so much fun playing. These guys were enjoying running around and around on the deck that wraps around it. A good way to burn energy off. They were also playing with Pokemon cards. McCray was very interested in them. I don't think that he had ever seen them before.
I love that it has a red door. I love red doors.
The cabin has a loft, and all of the kids were having fun hanging their legs off, trying to get someone to grab their feet. They didn't get many takers.
I let the kids take some pictures. They fought over turns, but they did a decent job.
Camille and her buddy Tyler- they are both at that "teeth" stage, huh?
Pauline took a picture for me. It was my 36th birthday. Wow, that seems old to me. I do not feel like I could be that old. But I look 36. Especially with no make-up. Unfortunately, that is how I spend most of my time! :)

These three were having fun playing outside. I sat them up on the fence for a picture. They were being so cute, and trying to humor me by smiling.

We had a really nice time in Cedar City and up on the mountain. It was a great day. We are looking forward to many more fun times ahead!

Maria, you are beautiful- happy birthday. I always excuse my poor basketball skills by saying my sister took all of the B-ball genes my parents had to offer. Glad you had fun and got to get away for a bit...

Happy Birthday! You look great as always. I always love that your hair looks fabulous no matter what you do with it. I am jealous.
